Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

FoxTime is designed to protect your family's privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information. In short: we don't collect personal data, we don't show ads, and we don't sell anything about you or your child.

Information we do not collect

FoxTime does not require an account, email, name, or sign-up. We do not collect your child's identity, location, browsing history, contacts, or the content of any app. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not build advertising profiles.

How screen-time controls work

FoxTime is built on Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework. The list of apps you choose to guard is represented by opaque tokens that Apple keeps on the device — these choices never leave the child's device and are never visible to us. Blocking is enforced locally by iOS.

Family sync (optional)

If you link a parent's phone to a child's phone with a family code, a small amount of configuration and status data is synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) so both phones stay in step. This may include: the family code, your settings (limits, schedules), a child nickname you enter, and simple status such as "apps are resting", minutes remaining, and a last-check-in time. This data is stored in Apple's iCloud infrastructure and used only to keep your own devices synchronized. It does not include the content of apps, messages, or browsing.

Purchases

Any purchases or subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase validation is handled by Apple's StoreKit.

Children's privacy

FoxTime is a tool for parents. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because it uses Apple Screen Time and stores app selections only on the device, there is no child profile for us to collect or share.

Data retention & deletion

Settings and status live on your devices and in your family's iCloud records. Removing the app, unlinking a device, or deleting the family record removes this data. To request deletion of any synced family record, email us and we'll help.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
